Project: Trapezoidal 1930’s Spanish Living Project
Location: Los Angeles, CA
About:
The Architect has an ongoing relationship with the Client. The projects are small but sensative. The limitations of the house are structural. And also reated to the buiding envelope which maximizes a The structural and envelope limitations constrain this property but it has a lot of but a lot of Phased remodel of the Architect's residence in Highland Park. The project is organized as a series of small design case-studies. The new work is not intended as a "restoration", but rather a "re-imagination" of the Spanish Revival style which in its heyday was already a romantic fantasy of a previous period. The new work has some contemporary aspects, but is sympathetic to the original construction in scale and use of materials.
